Mental Health

You don't have to struggle in silence...

Mental Health can be quite difficult to define because a person’s mental health issues, types of problems and the impact these have upon their life, family and friends are individual and specific to them. In other words, no two mental health problems will be experienced or managed in the same way. Here are some useful links which can provide guidance and support.
KOOTH: This offers emotional and mental health support for children and young people aged between 11-24 years.
CHILDLINE: This offers free confidential support for whatever is happening in your child’s live.
HARMLESS: This is a mental health service which offers support for young people, whom are experiencing self-harm including support, information and training.
DOMESTIC ABUSE HELPLINE: We at SSSC understand that this is a very sensitive issue, and no one should suffer in silence. If you are concerned about a family member or friend then you can contact RESPECT on 0808 802 4040.
